About Uganda

Uganda, officially the Republic of Uganda, is a landlocked country (except for bordering a lake) in East-Central Africa. The sovereign state bordered to the east by Kenya, to the north by South Sudan, to the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to the south-west by Rwanda, and to the south by Tanzania. Uganda takes its name from the Buganda kingdom, which encompasses a large portion of the south of the country, including the capital Kampala. The official languages are English and Swahili. Also, Luganda, a central language, is widely spoken across the country. The country has a significant overpopulation problem. Uganda's population grew from 9.5 million people in 1969 to 34.9 million in 2014. According to the 2014 census, Christians made up about 85 percent of Uganda's population, with Muslims making up nearly 14%.

About The Maldives

The Maldives, officially the Republic of Maldives, is a South Asian country, located in the Indian Ocean, situated in the Arabian Sea. It lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India. The chain of 26 atolls stretches from Ihavandhippolhu Atoll in the north to the Addu City in the south. Comprising a territory spanning roughly 298 square kilometres (115 sq mi), the Maldives is one of the world's most geographically dispersed sovereign states as well as the smallest Asian country by land area and population, with around 427,756 inhabitants. Malé is the capital and most populated city, traditionally called the "King's Island" for its central location. At present, Islam is the official religion of the entire population, as adherence to it is required for citizenship. The official and common language is Dhivehi, an Indo-Aryan language. The development of tourism fostered the overall growth of the country's economy.
