Gholamreza Karimi, Secretery General of National Commision of ISESCO in Iran: Science and Technology Potentials of Shiraz is an Opportunity for ISESCO

On the first day of meeting of secretaries general of National Commissions of ISESCO, the deputy of minister of education in international affairs, and secretary general of National Commissions of ISESCO in Iran stated: “In this meeting, we seek for conveying the last achievements of Islamic Republic of Iran in sciences, technology, and education to secretaries general of Islamic countries and making them aware of our experiences.”

Gholamreza Karimi also declared: “This meeting takes place every three years in Islamic countries that are members of ISESCO. It aims at coordinating countries in education, sciences, culture, and communications.”

Secretary General of National Commissions of ISESCO in Iran added: “Since the responsibility of communications of all ISESCO member countries is on ISESCO national commissions of those countries, in this meeting they look for exchange of experiences in this regard.”

Karimi expressed the most important goal of this meeting as getting to know the status of ISC and said: “Today, ten years after foundation of this organization, ISESCO looks for becoming aware of its influence on the function and scientific activities of Islamic countries.”

The deputy of minister of education in international affairs added: “Besides, the framework of scientific and technological network of Islamic countries is formed in this meeting and in the last statement of the sessions it is taken as the meeting approval.”

Pointing to membership of 54 countries in this organization, he said: “Right now, secretaries general of 30 ISESCO member countries attend the meeting and they aim at more coordination and communication between Islamic countries. Potentials of the hosting countries can also be presented in such meetings.”
