Ranking of the World Countries’ Scientific Production in 4 Sciences

Iran’s scientific production is now in the 16th rank of the world in Agricultural Sciences. The United States of America, Brazil, Spain and China are in the first to the fourth ranks respectively in the scientific production of Agricultural Sciences. India, Japan, South Korea and Turkey are the only Asian countries which stand ahead of Iran. They are respectively in the ranks 5th, 7th, 13th and 14th of the world.

Iran is in the 14th rank of the world in Chemistry. This country produced 2875 articles in Chemistry in 2009. South Korea is in the 11th rank as an Asian country. Turkey with 1884 articles stands in the 20th rank.

Iran has produced 3178 articles in Medical Sciences and stands in the world’s 25th rank in this field. The United States of America, England, Germany, Japan and Italy are in the first to the fifth ranks respectively. Turkey with 8741 articles ranks 14th in Medical Sciences. Some developed countries such as Norway, Finland, Ireland, Russia and Singapore stand in the ranks below Iran. These countries are in the 26th to 30th ranks of the world respectively.

Iranian scientists have also produced 374 articles in Computer Sciences. Iran stands in the 20th rank of the world in this field. The United States of America, China, England, Germany and France are in the first to fifth ranks respectively. Taiwan with 1441 articles is in the 6th rank. Some distinguished countries like Belgium and Austria go behind Iran in Engineering Sciences.
