The Growth Rate of Iran’s Scientific Production is Eighteen Times higher than the Islamic Countries

President of the Islamic World Science Citation Center, Dr. Mehrad, announced that the Iranian researchers have published 5830 articles in ISI, 8063 in ISC and 912 in ESCOPUS since the beginning of 2011. He said that the growth of Iran’s scientific production is equal to the world average and is eighteen times higher than the growth rate of the Islamic countries.

He said that in recent years, the government’s emphasis on the practical aspects of research along with the policies of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology has led to the production of technology and wealth as the result of scientific research in higher education and research centers of the country.
Dr. Mehrad affirmed that the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology urges journal editors to send their publications to ISC. As a result, ISC receives journals on a regular basis and acts successfully in citation analysis and determining effectiveness of Iranian and Islamic countries’ scientists and researchers.
