Head of the Central Library of Baku State University (BSU) visited the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology (RICeST) and Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).

The Head of Central Library and the Head of Special Education Department of Baku State University were acquainted with capabilities and facilities of ISC and RICeST in Shiraz.
The Office of International Scientific Cooperation of RICeST announced that participating in a 3-day Training Course, Ms. Sara Ebrahimva, the Head of the Central Library, and Ms. Metanat Mohammadva, the Head of Special Education Department of Baku state University, became familiar with various subsystems, capabilities and facilities of ISC and RICeST.
The aim of this visit was evaluation of capabilities and facilities of the two centers by the Head of Central Library of BSU in order to establish a branch of ISC in Republic of Azerbaijan.
Prof. Mehrad, President of ISC and RICeST pointed out that regarding the interest of Azerbaijan for ranking universities and scientific production and the massive presence of Persian students and interest of the Azerbaijan people in Persian language, it is necessary to establish a Persian full-text database in Republic of Azerbaijan.
