The Top 30 Universities in ISC National Rankings Receive Special Support

Dr. Seyed Ahmed Fazelzadeh, ISC president said: “The top 30 universities in ISC national rankings receive special support.

He added: “Today, universities are considered to be one of the most important and effective pillars in the knowledge-based economy as social and economic value-creating institutions. Therefore, the ranking of universities and higher education institutions is one of the most important concerns of science and technology policy makers. In addition to informing the society about the performance of universities and higher education institutions academic rankings compare universities. Universities use these results to set their goals, academic brands and promote themselves in order to attract outstanding students, professors and researchers. Also, universities’ ranking is important in terms of competitiveness as well as having resources and support facilities.

ISC president said: “Accordingly, in this year’s budget, special support has been considered for the top 30 universities in ISC national ranking. ISC always cooperates and interacts constructively with the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the country's program and budget organization and other science and technology policy-making institutions and provides the necessary indicators in the discussion of the productivity of universities in relation to science and technology”.

Fazelzadeh added: “The new criteria for the national ranking of the country's universities were approved in the ranking working group and meeting No. 972 of the Higher Education Extension Council of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and will be the criteria for the current solar year. Soon, the questionnaires related to this year's ranking will be available to universities and research institutes”.
