Iran Science Production Status

President of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) declared that Iran had 18 steps growth in the production of scientific articles in the last decade. Iran’s scientific articles in ISI was 18 thousands and 322 articles in 2010.
He stated that Iran was in the 48th rank in international scientific articles production in 2000 while now it is in 30th place in the world and 2nd place in region in 2011.
He emphasized that considering socio-economic impact and international perspective, developing educational programs, ratio of the number of faculty members to the students, developing applied research projects, increasing citation to scientific articles and investment in research are the factors that should be observed for promoting Iran’s status in world rankings.
