The Islamic Republic of Iran, with an average of 21.62% annual scientific growth, has had the highest scientific jump in the world in the last 20 years, and Iran''s ranking has been raised 38 steps.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, with an average of 21.62% annual scientific growth, has had the highest scientific jump in the world in the last 20 years, and Iran''s ranking has been raised 38 steps.
The report of Iran''s science production, based on the Web of Science (WOS), shows that the scientific records of the country''s researchers over the past 20 years have increased from 983 in 1997 to 49696 at the end of 1396, Out of 50 equals.
Over the course of these 20 years, there have been 374,622 scientific articles in various formats from research papers in prestigious journals, to review articles, international conferences and books.
Accordingly, 79.1% of the documents published in WOS by the researchers of the country are from the original collection of articles. Though, this reflects the credibility and scientific content of the scientific products of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the international level.
The analyzes conducted by ISC’s Department of Scientometrics indicate that Iran has had the highest growth rate in the world in the last 20 years (1997-2017), with an average annual growth of 21.62.
The recent NATURE INDEX’s report (January 24, 2018)showed that Iran, in the last decade, with a 22% annual growth rate compared with other countries in the world, has seen the largest scientific jump in the fields of sciences and engineering and has been able to rank first in the world.
