Iran rises to 19th rank in science production of the world

President of Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) announced that Iranian researchers produced about 1800 ISI articles at the first 2 months of the year 2012.
Prof. Mehrad stated that in 2011, US, China, England, Germany, Japan, France, Canada, Italy, Spain, and Australia were respectively the first 10 countries in science production.
However, China with 15242 articles takes ahead of US with 11098 articles at the first 2 months of 2012.
India which was at the 11th rank of the world at 2011, in 2012 ( two fist month) has been demoted to 12th rank by producing 3894 articles and South Korea with 4106 articles has been raised to 11th rank.
He said that according to ISI, Iran by producing 1800 ISI articles has been raised to 19th rank in science production in the world at the first two months of 2012.
