The president of Regional Information Center for Science & Technology by referring to the last status of Iran’s science production in 2012 pointed to our country competitors in producing science and expressed: the scientific gap between Netherland, Brazil and Taiwan is not so far from Islamic Republic of Iran.

The president of Regional Information Center for Science & Technology by referring to the last status of Iran’s science production in 2012 pointed to our country competitors in producing science and expressed: the scientific gap between Netherland, Brazil and Taiwan is not so far from Islamic Republic of Iran.
He stated: the statistics of 2012 from Scopus citation center indicated a significant growing in science production of Iran. In this year, Iran has gained the 16th rank in the world and the first rank in region by producing 21714 articles.
The president of ISC said in this ranking there are some scientific capable countries like USA, England, Germany, Japan and some other countries that are considered as developed countries for their Science and Technology.
He expressed that USA by producing 314118 articles has achieved the first rank in the world. After this country, china with 215601 articles, England with 90794 articles, Germany with 83907 articles and Japan with 66973 articles are ranked at 2, 3, 4 and 5 places respectively.
Between 11-16 of ranking which is belong to Islamic Republic of Iran, there are some countries such as Australia, South Korea, Netherland, Brazil and Taiwan.
Turkey is in 19th rank with producing 19639 articles.
