Iran becoming one of the scientific pioneers

On the basis of the report by ISC office of international cooperation, Dr. Jafar Mehrad, the dean of ISC, said that Iran produced 24297 papers in 2013. This shows the 1.44 percent of Iran’s share in producing science in the world.
He added that the total number of Iran science production based on two information banks, Biosis and Medline, is 32875 papers.
Mehrad cited that the total number of science production in the world is 1754602 papers. According to Biosis and Medline, Iran with the total number of 38247 papers is in a very good situation.
Mehrad said that just recording and producing papers is not enough. The number of citation is from Iranian scientists is more significant.
