Iran’s world ranking in six technologies – moving forward in new technologies

Prof. Mehrad, President of Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) stated that Iran is among the leading countries in six novice technologies for the last six years.
He also mentioned that conducting research has been a priority of both universities and research centers of the country, in recent years. In addition, various institutions have been planning to carry out research, in these years. However, universities are paying more attention to the role of research in the country. Universities as well as research centers have considered particular points in administrating their programs based on research findings. They raise funds in case of necessity national and massive plans sponsored by different councils are among such cases.
According to ISC President, specialization in scientific research has been prevalent today. More specialists, these days, are administrating researches in diverse scientific and technologic areas and the growing case has been impressive. This can be considered as a sign of determination in scientific fields. Iranian researchers’ viewpoints have progressed radically by conducting research in various areas including stem cells, nanotechnology, new energies and other specific fields.
Prof. Mehrad concluded that science production statistics indicates that this progression is planned consciously and based on scientific principles.
